Middletown’s Young Children Community Collaborative

The Middletown community has strong partnerships who work collaboratively to best meet the needs of children and families.  Our groups consist of families, child care providers, health and mental health providers and others who want to make sure our youngest children are healthy and ready for school. We work together on issues like making sure families have access to developmental screening for their young children and child care teachers have support for creating healthy classrooms. There is currently one work group:  Social, Emotional and Behavioral Health.

The Social, Emotional and Behavioral Health work group focuses on activities that support child development, like healthy relationships and enriching activites. We lead with our value that parents and families are their child’s first and most important teacher. We are working together on things like The Basics Middletown, Help Me Grow developmental screening, Circle of Security-Parenting for parents and child care teachers.
