MIDDLETOWN

PRESCHOOL PROGRAM

Kids in Preschool

What is the Middletown Preschool Program?

Middletown Public Schools Preschool Program offers preschool to three and four year old Middletown residents. The program follows the Middletown Public Schools school year calendar.  All Preschool classes are Monday through Friday.

There are 4 part-day classes (2.5 hours) for 3 and 4 year olds at Snow School.  3 year olds typically attend the morning session and 4 year olds typically attend the afternoon session.  This may change, depending on enrollment.

There are also 3 school day classes (6 hours) for 4 year olds located at Snow School, Spencer School, and Bielefield School.  The school day program is by lottery only.

Enrollment for the part day program is prioritized by completed applications, and continues throughout the school year as spots become available.  Enrollment in the school day program is by lottery only.  As we have more children enter into the lottery than have available spots, acceptance is not guaranteed.  Families not accepted through the lottery may be placed on a waiting list and/or apply for the part day program.  All students being entered in the lottery must turn 4 by December 31st of that school year.

Family's preschool fee will be determined based on the Office of Early Childhood’s Sliding Fee scale. Transportation will be available based on income.

Preschool registration information can be found here: https://www.middletownschools.org/page/preschool

THIS LOTTERY IS CURRENTLY CLOSED & WILL REOPEN MARCH 2023
